Hawaii EcoTube was created by a group of Hawaii natural resource users who care about our environment and want to help ensure the sustainability of these resources for future generations. In a desire to help facilitate positive practices, we created Hawaii EcoTube as a means of showcasing examples of the usage of Hawai‘i’s natural resources in a venue that everyone is allowed access.
This site is your chance to contribute your own content consisting of issues that concern you. The intent is to raise awareness through objective documentation of various types of resource impacts by empowering YOU, the community.
It is our hope that by creating a platform for everyone to use, all parties have a chance to become informed, engage one another in a respectful manner, and learn from what is presented here. This is a platform where positive practices can be highlighted, and serve as a model to others.
By creating awareness through documentation of less sustainable practices, we hope to incite a dialog that facilitates positive change.
If you would like to contribute, check out this post that provides guidelines on how to do so. For more about this site’s terms and conditions, please read this important post.
Hawaii EcoTube was made possible in part by a community-based microgrant from the Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL).
